Your logo in the floor
Walk into the training facility of an elite club or a top school and you'll often see the crest in the floor, team colours running through the turf and lane markings down the sled track. It's one of the simplest ways to make a training space feel like it belongs to the people who use it.
Why it's worth doing
- Pride and identity. Athletes train in a space that's clearly theirs.
- Recruitment and marketing. Training photos and videos end up on social media, in school prospectuses and in sponsor material. A branded floor shows up in all of them.
- Wayfinding and zoning. Colour defines where each activity happens, so the room is easier to run.
- A finished look. In hotels, studios and luxury homes, a subtle logo or a considered colour palette lifts the whole space.
Logos and colour in turf
Turf is the most flexible surface for branding. Turf can be made with patterns and shapes from different coloured turfs, with numbers and words inserted, and brand logos and custom designs built into the surface. Lines and distance notches can be marked at set intervals, either in the factory or on site. Sled tracks with marked distances are useful for coaching as well as looking good.
The gym turf we install comes in a range of colours, including black, dark green, olive green, red, brick, dark blue, light blue, yellow and white. That's usually enough to match most club and school colours.
Logos and colour in rubber
Rubber flooring can carry colour and logos too. Our rubber flooring comes in a range of colour flecks, and logos and markings can be inlaid into the floor. We plan the logo position on the floor plan, so it sits where it will be seen and isn't hidden under a rack.
Plan it early
Branding works best when it's designed into the layout from the start:
- Position. Where will people stand and where will photos be taken? A logo at the end of the turf track or in the centre of an open training zone is seen far more than one in a corner.
- Scale. A logo that looks right on a screen can feel too small or too big in a room. We check it on the floor plan and in 3D renders before ordering.
- Artwork. Supply vector artwork and exact brand colours. We'll work out how closely the available turf or rubber colours can match them.
- Lead time. Custom flooring takes longer to make than standard stock, so allow for it in the programme.
